Hi! I’m Alyssa, the author and creator of Mama Bear Feeds Family. The recipes on this site are created to satisfy all members of your family in a timely, affordable way. I believe vegetarian food can be flavorful, fun, affordable and fast. I am a mom of two young kids and totally understand the time crunch that can come with trying to get dinners on the table before bath, bed and any potential meltdowns. I started this blog in July 2020 after needing a creative outlet for my meal ideas. My oldest son started using the notebook that I write my recipes in as his own “grocery list” and I decided they needed a more permanent home that can’t be colored on. I have been a “full-time” vegetarian since 2017, and really enjoy trying new ingredients that I haven’t had before or in a different format (but really, have you tried air fryer tofu). I still have a lot of trial and error, but thankfully I have a lovely husband and two boys who are always willing to be my testers.
